That Special Christmas Gift

outdoor christmas Christmas is rapidly approaching and as I was busy making my list and checking it twice, I suddenly realized I keep increasing my list. Christmas has always been my favorite time throughout the year, and I’ve been known to put up our Christmas tree in August.

When I was a little girl, my present was a stocking with fruit in it, and my uncle John consistently brought me a box of Lifesaver candy. The girls in my class would be talking about their new dolls, which seemed unusual to me. When your loved your not always aware of the material things, I was loved and with that love came the stocking and candy. To me that was what Christmas was all about.

Over the last couple weeks, I have been watching Christmas movies, and my favorite movie is an old one called, “It Happened on 5th Ave,” It has so much love and character in it, if you haven’t seen it, you should put it on your must watch list. Many of the new Christmas movies could easily be shown on Valentine’s day, with people seeking unconditional love, acceptance, and that one special gift. Isn’t that what we all want.

I want you to know that no matter what you are going through at this time of the year, You are Loved. Not only loved but immensely loved and accepted 24/7 by God! God values you, and He says to you, that you are His masterpiece, His dwelling. As we have received Jesus and His special gift to us, in return, we become His special gift. A child born of love from above. He will never let go of you or relax His hold on you. For God wraps His arms around you in His Love. God is Love and Love is all He gives you. He is there with you to encourage you and lift you up in who you really are in Him. Totally, and absolutely loved!

Our prayer from all of us at Grace Without Measure, to you, is that you may know the love of Christ, which passes human knowledge. That you would be filled to overflowing with all the fullness of God. To be persuaded that God your Father who loves you immensely is able to do exceedingly above all your wildest dreams, and above all you could ever ask or think for it is His extreme love at work in you that demonstrates His great Love, He has for you. Receive this love and you will receive the greatest the most special gift. It is His full acceptance and unconditional love for you!

May His love, grace and peace be multiplied to you, this Christmas season :)

Updating The Mind

Many of us from time to time have received a message that says, “an update is now available for your phone.”

Like you, I push “learn more” to read what all this new update is designed to do. Generally, it fixes bugs from the last update, and may install apps we want, or don’t want, and also enhances security, etc.

You can choose to download it (receive) or do nothing.

I usually, Google to read the tech reviews about the recent updates, which brings me to this conclusion; God’s word is perfect, and I have to update my mind daily to the grace of God. I download (receive) it all through the day. I find in updating my mind to the grace of God; I receive more revelation of the love of God. His word fixes bugs (old way of thinking and the world’s philosophy from trying to creep in) and enhances security of what Christ has done for me. Let the security of His love update your thoughts, so that your thoughts become His thoughts, producing “bug” free transformation.

Removing The Labels!

Labels
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines a “‘label’ as denoting a name or title and affixed to anything, denoting its contents.” When we go into a grocery store, we see labels that not only have the brand but describe its identity and gives a description of the contents. Vehicles on the road are identified by their emblem. Sometimes that emblem creates a false perception in our minds about the owner’s personal worth by what that emblem says. Nevertheless, their personal worth is not their account balance; it is the label they have accepted in life. We also see vehicles with bumper stickers (labels) which describe what the owner believes.

We can carry invisible labels on us from childhood to adulthood about what people have labeled us. For many, these labels are manifested into our belief system. Which subsequently forms into actions. If you’ve been told, and believe, your stupid, worthless, you never get it right, you’re a failure, too fat, too skinny, don’t make enough money, then those labels become your belief system. We incorporate these into who we think we are. They become our identity.

That is why many people can struggle with The Gospel of Grace, and God’s Love for them. Our belief system is challenged by what we’ve been told about ourselves and God. On the inside we want to believe that yes God is that good. He truly is a God of overwhelming Love. However, the labels can take us back
causing us to question God’s love and goodness, “I don’t qualify so that really can’t be for me?!” We look at ourselves, and all our labels scream I’m not good enough. We’ve probably all tried to fix ourselves to be more acceptable to God and man. We have tried to renew our mind and failed, because we used the law as the mirror. The labels just keep surfacing and dragging us down. Then we are introduced to religion, and what happens?

We are told that God will accept us just the way we are. We accept The Lord as our Savior. We are thrilled, then the labels of religion are placed on us, with it’s “to do” and “not to do” list. We dare not tear off that label, because our behavior now will determine what God will or won’t do for us. We are told to renew our mind to the Word of God. The mirror religion holds up to us is the
mirror of the law to change us. The law is the ministry of death and condemnation so now we keep adding more labels to ourselves. Good enough, not good enough, He loves me loves me not. Blessed now cursed. We condemn ourselves over and over, and wonder why nothing works out for us.

We are to look into the perfect law of liberty, when we do we see Christ, and who He is in us and who we are in Him. You then begin to see you are perfectly loved, and there is nothing you can do or not do to make God your Father love you more. This is the foundation for your true identity, your new label to describe the contents of the new you. You are God’s Masterpiece, His Beloved,
completely innocent, faultless and guiltless in His eyes. You see it has nothing to do with your righteousness, your good works, your performance, or what you’ve labeled yourself. It’s all about His great Love for you, and His righteousness imparted unto you. It’s a free gift. You cannot earn a free gift, or it’s not free. When we grasp this Good News, it forever will change our lives.

Many have struggled with the true gospel. The message that Jesus himself preached in Luke 4:18-21. It is the Gospel of Grace. That when Jesus cried out it is finished it truly was finished. When he died, you died when He arose you arose. You are a new creation something that did not before exist. You are made in His image; His likeness. You are born from above by Love. For those who have believed this true Gospel of Grace, they have torn off the old labels, abandoned religion and the labels they have been labeled with, and they have fully embraced their new identity in Christ. In Him, we are passionately loved at all times. We are accepted and well pleasing to God, just as Jesus is. We truly
believe as He is so are we in this world.

Years ago, I bought two trees. They were labeled Globe Willow. I cut the labels off and planted them. On the second year of growth, I noticed the branches were weeping down. They were labeled wrong. You see we have all been labeled wrong, and we’ve tried to become something we already are, as a believer and failed. It’s time to believe what God has said about us. We are made in His image and in His likeness. We are born from above out of His Love. When Jesus died, you died, all the old labels were forever stripped away, and behold you were raised up in newness of life, as He has re-labeled us “redeemed and innocent.” Don’t let anyone re-attach any old labels, that Jesus removed, back on to you. Simply receive His abundance of grace and gift of righteousness, and reign in life.

Melody In My Heart

My mind is overjoyed at the melody in my heart. Instruments of praise is what I have inside of me, at my Daddy’s love and acceptance for me. The value of my life cannot be measured in words alone! So Daddy displayed for all to see, Jesus my Savior who died for me. Who rose again in a triumphant way, conquering sin, death, hell and the grave. Bringing my enemy to complete devastation, and his knee has to bow before His great name.

A shout of victory can be heard throughout all nations, Christ our Savior has made peace between God and man. The only requirement is that we believe. Believe in His son Jesus the perfect sacrifice for sin. For sin made a separation between God and man. God’s redemptive work was completed when Jesus paid the price, and cried “it is finished.” So now you can live, and you who believe, a life that is acceptable and well pleasing by Daddy God. Not by our works and good deeds, but by Jesus finished work, and His work alone.

How my heart sings and the instruments of praise inside of me, a loving Daddy, who’s so in love with you and me. That’s the price of His love, that was paid on Calvary. My heart cries out Daddy Daddy thank you, for your never-ending love and acceptance of me, and for all those you love, my prayer is that they believe.

Let your heart cry out and let the instruments of praise ring within you; for nothing can separate God’s love from you and me. For not one thing can separate us from God’s love! ~ Sue
